Agrico Canada sources premium products domestically and worldwide to meet the ever-growing needs of our agri-retail customers. Agrico’s head office is located in Mississauga and a branch office in Oak Bluff, Manitoba. Our offices provide support for a network of fertilizer storage terminals strategically located from Quebec to Saskatchewan, and south of the border in Minnesota. Agrico focuses on supporting 11 joint ventures in which it is a partner in Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, as well as many independent partners across Canada. Agrico is a division of the Quebec based La Coop Fédérée since 2012.

Status : Permanent, Full Time, Replacement

 

CHALLENGES WE OFFER

The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales & Marketing Manager and the Western Crop Nutrient Procurement Manager to help manage inventory movement at each supply point to ensure the accuracy of the information. The incumbent will support overall purchasing & sales decisions by providing in-depth margin analysis and be the point of contact to create sales & purchase orders in the system while improving customer satisfaction.

The position requires the handling, management and/or supervision of the tasks described below:

  • Maintaining the sales/purchases order process: timely and accurately creating/entering all sales/purchases orders in the system for direct shipping and owned terminals across Western Canada including setting up prepay invoices;
  • Working closely with the purchasing department to obtain release numbers from our suppliers in a timely manner for direct shipping;
  • Monitoring the inventory levels at the terminals and promptly notifying the purchasing department if inventory levels run low;
  • Timely assigning and distributing release numbers to sales representatives and/or customers (electronic sales contract – e.g. DocuSign);
  • Working closely with sales representatives to provide un-assigned release numbers by supply point and recommending the optimal supply point based on the logistics of the inventory movement and freight costs for direct shipping;
  • Managing release numbers and sales/purchase contracts to ensure all loads are pulled or canceled before the expiry date;
  • Addressing customer inquiries and providing customer services;
  • Coordinating communication with internal stakeholders to ensure that customer expectations are met;
  • Populating and maintaining margin analysis and reviewing data with the Sales Manager and buyer to identify risk/opportunity;
  • Ad-hoc projects as assigned.

  


YOU FIT THE FOLLOWING PROFILE

  • You have a College or University diploma in a Business/Logistics related field;
  • You have 3-5 years of experience in logistics, customer service and/or accounting;
  • You are highly adaptable and autonomous;
  • You can work effectively and efficiently in a team-oriented and deadline-driven environment;
  • You demonstrate excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. You are able to communicate efficiently and effectively at all levels of the organization while continuously maintaining a high degree of professionalism when dealing with stakeholders;
  • You have strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work independently with minimum supervision;
  • You show strong attention to detail and are able to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy;
  • Asset: You have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook. You have intermediate knowledge of an ERP system.
